Why the change?
To enhance services to partners by offering a more robust investment line up and reduce costs where possible.
Do partners have to do anything?
Short answer is No.
Partners current balances will be moved into a Target Date fund based on their year of birth. If their current target date fund has Federated Capital Preservation fund as an underlying asset, that portion will remain in the FedCap fund and the rest of their balance will move to the appropriate Target Date Fund.
What does “blackout” mean?
It simply means no transactions can happen on the account until the blackout period is done. Partners can still change their beneficiaries. They will know when blackout is over because it will be posted to the web.
What about my NHC Common Shares?
They will remain as is. No change.
Team Gameplan
Distributions
CSRs
Please continue to send paperwork to participants when they request a distribution, even during the blackout period.
For the days leading up to 7/19, please include a disclaimer about the blackout period and that we will try to process before the blackout begins. If we are unable to, the 5—7 business days will start once the blackout period ends the week of 8/5.
For distribution requests received during the blackout period, let participants know that once the period ends, we will process the requests as they were received.
TS (Jamari)
On Monday, please review any NHC distributions in the Pending Tickets spreadsheet and focus on NHC distributions in general.
Justin will be assisting with distributions Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Since we will be accepting distribution paperwork throughout the blackout period, you will work these tickets as usual and treat them like the other distributions in the Pending Tickets spreadsheet.
Loans
CSRs
We can accept loan requests until Tuesday 7/16 which would have paperwork going out on 7/17. If the loan paperwork is not returned by 7/18, we will have to wait until after the blackout period and model a new loan.
However, no loan paperwork will go out 7/18-8/5. You can model a loan and give them an estimate for what the loan parameters will look like, but please do not open a Loan - Application ticket. Ask the participant to call back after the blackout period is over. Please use Loan – General for this ticket coding since we do not have a template for these calls.
TS (Taylor)
On Monday, please review any loan requests for NHC that require follow up and focus on NHC loans in general.
On Tuesday, work your queue as normal.
On Wednesday, Jamari will assist with loans while Justin works distributions.
We will regroup about Thursday’s gameplan next week.
